A General Election will be held on Saturday, May 02, 2026, in the City Council Chambers at City Hall, 9714 Kibler Street, Orchard, Texas 77464.

Filing for a place on the ballot is set by state statute and will run from January 14, 2026, to February 13, 2026.

Candidate Packet

Applications can be picked up at City Hall, 9714 Kibler Street, Orchard, Texas 77464. Monday - Friday 8am-2pm. The first day to file an application for a place on the ballot is January 14, 2026.  Applications filed are public record and can be reviewed upon request.  You can also print your own packet from the documents listed below.

Application Deadline

All candidates must file a Campaign Treasurer Appointment Form CTA (Appointment of a Campaign Treasurer by a Candidate) before:

 

  • filing for a place on the ballot; 
  • raising or spending any campaign funds; or 
  • announcing candidacy.
